For as long as I can remember, emerald green has been my absolute favorite color. It’s the color of money, a symbol of both health and good luck, and it’s just pretty, which makes it an ideal color scheme for entertaining. Plus, Pantone named it 2013’s Color of the Year, so it’s very on trend as well.
Though I wouldn’t create a menu with only green foods (too theme-y and maybe a little creepy), there are many delicious and healthy ways to incorporate the color through entrees, side dishes, appetizers, and of course, cocktails!
Good Green Grub:
Roasted or Grilled Veggies, like Zucchini, Asparagus, Brussel Sprouts, Green Beans, Artichokes
Warm Spinach Salad
Sliced Kiwi, Apples, and Melon
For a refreshing non-alcoholic drink, a simple pitcher of still or sparkling water with limes or cucumbers adds a sophisticated touch. Serve green foods and cocktails on white, cream, or clear glass pieces to make the color pop, while emerald green serving pieces, like these stunning ones we’ve found, are ideal for non-green foods.
