It’s Saturday, and we’re about to climb on a plane to Mexico. Due to an internet snafu, yesterday’s post didn’t make it up as expected, so we’re going to make it up to you with an extra post this weekend–a new wedding column from the perspective of the male hive mind, channeled through my husband Rob–and some fantastic content next week while we’re on vacation. Here’s what we paid attention to this week:
Unless you’ve been living in a, um, redwood forest, then you’ve probably heard the blowback about Sean “You know what’s really cool? A billion dollars” Parker’s not-quite-a-billion-but-somewhere-in-the-millions wedding. Here’s the call out, then the response. And the photo. This is one of the most fascinating conversations I’ve followed in a long time, with its overlays of environmentalism, responsibility, wealth, and nerd culture. If you want a snort, read the comments on these posts; people are going freaky on this shit! PS: I heard for their honeymoon, Sean and his bride constructed a coral reef.
Lucky Mag does its own Etsy engagement ring roundup.
But this ring lights up when you hold hands!
My daughters are bringing this Impossible Project Polaroid with them on our trip, with 8 prints each.
We’ll display the analog photos (along with some of my digi prints) in these blocks.
Jonathan Adler can now design your digital wedding invites. That gold leafing is…beyond.
See you on the 17th!
