This weekend is the 4th of July, a perfect time for a wedding or just entertaining with friends and family. It’s also usually one of the hottest times of the year and nothing cools you off more – and inspires childhood nostalgia – than sucking on a refreshing, ice cold popsicle. But there’s nothing childish about these recipes we’ve rounded up for cocktail popsicles, also known as poptails or cocksicles (hehe). Of course you can make them without the alcohol if you want, but a little adult beverage turned popsicle just sounds like the perfect way to enjoy a summer day.
4 :: Bellini Pop
6 :: Mudslide Popsicle
9 :: French 75 Popsicle
10 :: Campari Citrus Pop
Don’t have time to make your own “poptails” and already have regular Popsicles in the freezer? Southern Living Magazine recommends placing them in a wine glass and pouring a bit of bubbly, like inexpensive Prosecco, over them.
