Today’s guest post is from our friend Noelle, who we are delighted to announce will become a regular contributor to the site in May. And many thanks to RS Handmade for sponsoring this fantastic giveaway (enter at the end of this post)!
One of the first things most couples register for is dinnerware and entertaining pieces. When I got married we registered for both china and everyday dinnerware, which seemed a bit impractical to me at the time. Receiving only four dinner plates from our chosen china pattern – which was discontinued soon after – confirmed my misgivings.
As someone who likes to entertain a lot, I want dinnerware and serving pieces that are as gorgeous as they are functional. That’s why I love the tabletop line from RS Handmade. Individually handmade by up-and-coming ceramicist Robert Siegel, each piece is a beautiful, heirloom-quality work of art, but is also durable enough for use every day. They’re even microwave and dishwasher safe (though hand washing is recommended), so they’re perfect for special occasions as well as a daily meal with your betrothed. Here are my picks (from left to right; see the ready-for-Pinterest board below):
2 :: Standard Ice Bucket
3 :: Standard Dinnerware
4 :: Standard Pitcher
6 :: Ostrich Berry Bowl
7 :: Ostrich Serving Bowl
We are thrilled to be able to give one lucky winner a set of two Ostrich serving bowls and a berry bowl (retail value $400). There are multiple ways to earn entries–see the widget below for details–including answering a question on this post: what is your favorite item on your wedding registry? Conversely, what item did you really want, but didn’t get?
Make sure you log in to the widget before entering! We want your efforts to count.
