If you don’t have a large space, that doesn’t mean you can’t entertain; it just means you have to be a little more strategic in your party planning. Here are three things to keep in mind when entertaining in a small space:
To maximize space, use the walls and ceilings for decorations. Hang string lights, garlands, banners, and/or party lanterns to draw the eye upwards while also creating a festive environment.
Most people think small furniture should go in a small space, but the opposite is actually true. Oversized chairs and couches fill a space and make it cozy, and also offer the necessary seating.
Utilize pieces either in a completely different way, like an armoire or dresser as a bar, or incorporate pieces that can do more than one thing at a time. A mobile kitchen cart that can be transformed into a bar to hold glasses and bottles while providing a surface for making drinks, or an ottoman can offer additional seating or act as a side table.
